Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Will the Vortice leak?
A: No, the Vortice is sealed press-fit, and the exhaust cover is made of plastic with a sealing lip on either end.

Q: Will the spring go bad?
A: No, the spring is made with high-quality stainless steel.

Q: Does the Vortice have to be adjusted?
A: No, the Vortice is designed for each application.

Q: Does the fuel need to be adjusted?
A: If the engine was just run with the stock exhausts, then no.  If the engine was just run with an after-market exhaust, then maybe.  However, from day to day, you may have to fine-tune in your fuel due to atmosphere conditions.

Q: Why do I hear the engine rev up really high during acceleration?
A: As you can see from the dyno graph, the Vortice accelerates really hard in the middle.  You must be sure the clutch is free of oils and other junk.

Q: Does the tube affect the performance of the exhaust?
A: Technically, yes.  The tube was deliberately made large, so the power change is minimal.
